Don't Throw away these things anymore - Zero waste tips

Eco Lodge Operations- Zero Waste

1.Don’t throw away the banana peels. Chop them in small pieces, sun dry or oven dry them and blend them into powder. You will have as a great organic fertilizer that you can spread directly in your garden or potted plants. Your plants will love it and the nature too.

2.Don’t throw away the orange or citrus peels. Put them in a spray bottle, fill it up with white vinegar and leave it for 15 days. You will have a nicely scented all-purpose cleaner solution. Your kitchen will love it and the nature too.

3.Don’t throw away the jam glass containers. Fill them with 2 cups of water, 1 cup of 70% alcohol and few drops of citrus essential oils. Add a roll of paper towels cut at the right size, let if soak and remove the inside cupboard roll. You will have home-made disinfecting wipes. Your door knobs and light switches will love it and the nature too.

4.Don’t throw away the rusty knifes and scissors. Soak them in a solution of white vinegar and salt for an hour. Brush them with an old tooth brush or a wire brush and rinse them off. You will have an efficient rust remover. Your metal objects will love it and the nature too.

5.Don’t throw away the burnt frying pans. Make a paste with baking soda and warm water and cover the bottom of your pan. Let is seat overnight and then clean the pan with a scrubbing pad. You will have a nice clean pan again. Your pans and pots will love it and the nature too.

6.Don’t throw away the broken coffee mugs. Turn the mug upside down and run the knife bled along it. You will have a nice knife sharpener. Your knives and mugs will love it and the nature too.

7.Don’t throw away the coconut fibre. Separate them, clean them and attach them together with a jute thread. You will have an original dish sponge. Your plates will love it and the nature too.
